FRED LUFF
Throughout my career as a professional set designer, art director, and production designer in the film and television industry my appreciation for color, texture and architecture continue to be all consuming. I am a member of the society of Motion Picture and Television Art Directors and have worked for various studios, such as M.G.M., 20th Century Fox, Paramount, Desilu and Warner brothers, as well as, N.B.C. and A.B.C. television networks. I have been honored with four Emmy nominations by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for outstanding Art Direction and Individual Achievement. My training as an architect set the stage for the attention to detail and the inner essence of qualities I find so expressive in the world of color distinctions that surround us. Now retired, I paint for personal enjoyment and accept commissions. My experience in several mediums such as photography,colored pencils, watercolor and oils, continue to provide the vehicles through which I can create the visual story of a romantic era setting, or any other imagined time.
